Today's Review: Walking Through Doors with the Dove Beautiful vs Average Stint

Hey ladies, hope you're doing really great today. So I came across this new commercial stint from Dove which is one of the world's finest when it comes to moisturizing skin with their beauty bars and this one is the bomb. Basically, Dove placed labels on two of a building's doors where people would walk in every day. They didn't specify whether that building's a workplace or a business center. Anyways, the doors were labeled Beautiful and Average, how cute is that? Women who come to the place were quite amazed at the two labels on the doors but you'll notice that they take a moment to pause and choose where to enter. Of course there were those who used the Average door without weighing their choices too much.

I actually chuckled when they entered through that door, I don't know if they're feeling a bit conscious that they may be watched or they do feel average on that particular day. What made me smile a real smile is when a mother beckoned her daughter to step away from the Average door so they'd both enter the Beautiful door. It made me feel warm and fuzzy inside that this mother is the very first person who boosts her young one's confidence. My Nanay does that too, she never makes me feel ugly so I was definitely touched by the mother's gesture.

Now, let's take a good look at the women's reactions to their choices. Most women who passed through the Average door felt like plain Jane, like there's nothing really special about them. One even said that walking through that door didn't make a difference in her day, and that she didn't feel good at all. A lady even decided to not choose doors because perhaps she doesn't know if she's average or she's beautiful and she turned away looking nonplussed. And then those women who walked through the Beautiful door felt better and indeed more beautiful than what they used to think they are. That's the jolt in the whole concept of the commercial, women who are confident enough to feel beautiful.

Just like all of Dove's commercials, this one is definitely amazing and I think the brand outdoes itself every time it launches a new one. They all speak of women empowerment, the power of confidence and believing in yourself that you are beautiful. These things may be empty words for some people but it makes a big difference in the lives of those individuals who are hungry for reassurance that they're alright, that they'll be fine, that they are neither losers nor dunces who can't carry a tune to save their lives. It's just sad that there are people who can't decide what they are: Average or Beautiful, but hopefully, they'll soon realize that they can top up what they are today and be better tomorrow. The women who used the Beautiful door are unbelievable. I actually don't have the right words for them because I love it when a person feels good about himself or herself.

Remember, you are beautiful in your own way. Why do you think we all have the same likeness but different appearances? Because we're all unique and no one has the red card to tell you you're a loser or you're average, or ugly because you're bigger and better than those pitiful words. Thank you Dove for these inspiring commercial stints!

Let me know what you think, I'd love to see your comments below. Talk to you next time!

Welcome to My Blog!

Hello readers! Thank you for coming to my weeny little blog, videotosh.blogspot.com. I'm Andrea, a 25-year old Filipina nurse and a writer by heart. Like most of you, I love watching Youtube videos and watching TV shows as well if I have the time. I prefer beauty gurus and channels of those individuals who exude a lot of confidence, those who inspire others to make a better person out of themselves.

I have been blogging for so long but I tend to start out a good blog with a few posts and just leave them to rot so I never truly realized the value and heartwarming rewards of blogging. I haven't Googled this niche yet but I sat doing my needlework one night and came up with the idea of blogging about my views on videos by Youtube gurus and TV shows and commercials too. I'm a big fan of today's film and media and since I have a thing for sizing up and reviewing Youtube videos, TV shows, and commercials, I figured it would be really nice to take them for a blogging niche.

Everything that I'm going to post would be from my own point of view, and I apologize in advance if some of my views may repel you as I keep on reviewing and posting about the videos and shows that I've watched. in the long run, I wish you'll have a good time whenever you visit my blog and see you again soon!
